Our games are canceled for Saturday, February 6th, due to the rain. No games on Feb. 13, so we’ll see you all on the 20th!

Thank you so much to all players, managers, refs and their families for the fantastic first day of games on January 30th! Please continue to refer women to the league as we do have a few team openings remaining. Good luck to all for a season of fun and competitive women’s soccer!

The City of Poway is now providing online field reports during rainy weather. Here’s how to check for field closings online:
1. Go to www.rainedout.com
2. Type in “Poway”
3. Click on “City of Poway” and view the field reports
4. To register for updates: Click on “sign up now for mobile alerts” or watch the demonstration to learn more
5. Fill out username, first name, last name, password and phone #
6. Check box next to group NC Women’s

Happy New Year San Diego Soccer Women! Please read below for some important season updates. Games begin January 23rd!

-> The 2010 Season Schedule is now available to save and print! See the NCWSA_Forms on the lower right side of the home page.

-> “Get Stuft” and “Brass Razoos” NEED PLAYERS (only have 12 and 14 respectively)

-> All league fees are due NOW! $1200.00 for each team check or cash. (Made out to NCWSA)

-> Deadline for registration is fast approaching all team captains should be making sure the players have filled out the Player Registration form and roster.

-> New players must have a 1X1 photo, copy of driver’s license, filled out a green player card, Player Registration form and the roster.

Reminder: All league players must subscribe for email updates. Click the button marked, “Sign Up for Soccer League Emails”. If you had previously signed up please do so again, as we are now using the internal blog subscription feature. Thank you!

Please complete the *new* player registration form for all new and continuing players. The right column of the site includes a Box.net file sharing widget. In that box you will see a file named “PlayerReg2010.” This is a PDF file that should be saved to your computer, printed, filled out, and given to your Team Manager. Due dates and team contact information coming soon! Just Added: Please also download the NCWSARoster.pdf and complete line 1 with your information and signature. This should also be returned to your manager.

Here are a few details for new and continuing players!
-The first game will be on January 23rd, 2010.
-The season will last into May (with possible season extension as needed due to rainouts–only one last year!)
-There will be two weekends off: February 13th, President’s Day week and April 3rd, Easter week.
-Each team can include two players aged 25 to 29 years old. The rest must be 30 and better.
-League forms are available on this website and through your team manager.

San Diego has a fantastic history of youth and adult soccer leagues! Established in 1976, the North County Women’s Soccer Association offers women of all skill levels the opportunity to have fun and stay fit on the pitch with FIFA rules, professional referees, convenient playing times, and well-maintained fields in the City of Poway. We play on Saturdays from late January into early June. Teams are always looking for new and experienced players. Women aged 30+ are invited to contact us for more information about joining this local league.
