Women’s Tournament in Spain 2018 - Soccer for Women Ages 30 to 80+

Torneo de la Amistad / Friendship Tournament of La Linea- Gibraltar in Andalusia

ASOCIACION DEPORTES EL MUNDO DEL SUR (CIF: G72350499), jointly with the City of La Linea de La Concepcion and Gibraltar are organizing the first Friendship Tournament of La Linea- Gibraltar in Andalusia, which will feature top women’s football teams from Europe and the Americas. The objectives of the tournament are the promotion of women’s football and showcase high level and professional women’s teams.
Format and dates:
The tournament will consist of 6 (six) teams divided in 2 groups of 3 teams, and alternatively playing in La Linea and Gibraltar. The top two teams of each group will play semi-finals, final
and third place games.
The third teams of each group will play a placement game as well.
The semifinal matches will be played at Victoria Stadium of Gibraltar and the final at the Municipal Linense in La Linea de la Concepcion.
The tournament will be held between August 6 and August 12, 2018.
All games will be played according to UEFA rules.

– Atletico de Madrid (1st division Iberdrola Spanish League)
– Real Betis Balompie (1st division Iberdrola Spanish League)
– Sporting Huelva (1st division Iberdrola Spanish League)
– Salsa Soccer Club (California, USA)
– Paris F.C. (French League 1)
– Everton Football Club (English Women Super League 1)

The 6th, 7th and 8th of August we will have 1 game for each group in la Linea and Gibraltar. One game will be scheduled after the other so that players and attendance can enjoy both.

The 9th will be a free day for all teams and Gibraltar will host the official welcome ceremony for all teams delegations, sponsors, etc.

The top 2 teams of each group will play the semi-finals on the 10th again one in Gibraltar and one in La Linea.

The 11th we will have the 2 placement games 3rd and 4th as well as 5th and 6th.

The Final will be on the 12th in La Linea.

Considering the temperatures in Campo de Gibraltar in August, games will be played after 6pm generally.
