Peninsula Women’s Soccer League offers year-round, full-field women’s soccer. We have multiple 18+ divisions, ranging from competitive to intermediate, plus two additional divisions for players 30+ and 40+.
There are four ways to join our league:
Option 1: Join the roster of an existing team – You can leave your information here and wait for an existing team to contact you; or, check out teams who need players here and get in contact with them.
Option 2: Sign up for the “sub roster” – This option allows you to pay a small fee to be available and eligible to existing teams as a substitute. This is also a popular option for teams “trying out” players. (Info link)
Option 3: Sign up for a team of “free agents” – Check under the “Join the League” tab of pwsl.org to see if there is a free agents team to join. (Link)
Option 4: Recruit players and start a new team – If you are interested in rounding up individuals to start a new team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You will need to recruit the individual players, and take on the responsibilities of Team Manager!
Established in 1976, the North County Women’s Soccer Association offers women of all skill levels the opportunity to have fun and stay fit on the pitch with FIFA rules, professional referees, convenient playing times, and well-maintained fields in the City of Poway. We play at Hilleary Park on Saturdays from late January into early June at 9am, 11am and 1pm. Women aged 30+ are eligible, and we include two 25-29 year olds per team. Teams are always looking for new and experienced players.

The Oceanside Women’s Soccer League is run through the City of Oceanside Recreation Department. There are 3 age 21+ divisions (beginner, intermediate and advanced) and we play Wednesday nights. We currently have 3 seasons, 4 divisions and 24 teams. It is outdoor, 7v7 with small goals in Oceanside. Cost depends on the number of players a particular team takes but is usually around $55
1. Contact Oceanside Recreation Department at (760) 435-5238 to inquire about teams. They will will ask questions to get a feel for what level of and if they are able to add an entire new team. Then they will push an email out to all team managers to see if anybody has room for another player.

San Diego’s Prime of Life Women’s Soccer League (POLWSL) is a recreational soccer league devoted to women over 45 years old. We aim to remain fit and enjoy both the wonderful game of soccer and the wonderful camaraderie of our fellow players. Games are played year-round in the centrally-located Clairemont area at Alcott Elementary School Park. Divisions are 45+ and 58+.
January to June and September through mid December, we play on Saturdays.
June through August, we play weeknights, each team playing one night a week.

The San Diego Women’s Soccer League’s age 40+ and 55+ divisions play at parks in Scripps Ranch- the Community Park and in Stonebridge. Games are full-field, 45-minute halves.
Jan-June and Sep-Dec: teams play once per week on Tues and Thurs.
June – Aug games are on Saturdays.

The Allied Gardens Soccer League for women ages 40 and older is a recreational league, including levels from beginner to experienced players.
Games are played at Allied Gardens Rec Center on the Lower Lewis Field. Game times 9:00 am – 12:30 pm on Sundays. The season runs from the 1st Sunday in January to the 2nd Sunday in June, usually 13-15 weeks.

Scripps Ranch Women’s Athletic Club (WAC) offers a recreational soccer league that provides a friendly environment for women of all skill levels, ages 25 and older, to play soccer. The overall idea is to have some fun, get some exercise, improve your soccer skills, and hang out with the girls. Each game has a professional referee who can also provide real-time coaching during the games.
All of our games are played at Sycamore Canyon Park (in the Stonebridge Community of Scripps Ranch) on Wednesday nights. New teams are made every night in “pick-up” fashion and are scheduled to start at 7:30 pm. Each season comprises 14 Wednesday night games.
