Our goal is to connect women soccer players with recreational teams, leagues, training programs, tournaments, gear, travel and charitable sports organizations. We support the collaboration of women’s amateur soccer worldwide and PLAY for the United Nations 2030 Global Goals for Sustainable Development of Health and Wellness, Gender Equality and Reduced Inequalities. We advocate against discrimination and for inclusive and equitable opportunity. We are allies with the LGBTQ+ community. We are activists against racism. We #PLAYatEveryAge.
July 02, 2020: Announcing a *NEW* women’s amateur / recreational tournament for 2021 in Southern Spain! We are partnering with Futbol+Mujer (Soccer+Woman) to organize a resort tournament for age 40+ and 50+ women’s teams from around the world.
June 08, 2020: Team San Diego Soccer Women spoke with the organizers of the Global Goals World Cup – New York City 2019 about the importance of Global Goal #10 – Reduced Inequalities – when considering adult and youth participation in soccer leagues. We discussed the need for sports organizations at all levels to fight racism, as well as discrimination based on age, race, gender, sexual identity, citizenship, parental and marital status, and economic resources. February 07, 2020: Local CHSTV broadcasting students created a short documentary about our age 55+ players in San Diego’s women’s leagues. Huge appreciation to sisters Birgen and Zuzu G.! Sunday, 30 June, 2019: 🎙🎧⚽️ San Diego’s “Prime of Life” women’s soccer league was featured on NPR’s Weekend Edition with interviews of age 60+ female players in the sport. The story was selected as part of their coverage of the US Women’s National Team in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
