Sister League Has Openings for ‘Over 40’ Players
A sister league in Scripps Ranch needs players!. The San Diego Women’s Soccer League Over 40 plays in Scripps Ranch on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Please contact Jany Staley at 619-952-5341.

Saturday ‘Kick Arounds’ 8-10am
Starting next Saturday, the 12th, the ‘Kick Around’ sesisons will start with a warm up from 8:00am to 8:30am and then practice will begin promptly at 8:30am. End time is 10:00am. Players are to bring a dark shirt, a light shirt and a ball (if possible). Wear shin guards and soccer shoes! Let’s get out there to Hilleary Park each Saturday to get ready for the season!
Important 2012 Season News
League Fees: The 2012 season rate is $1100.00 per team. (Discount this year of $100!) Each team needs to have down payment of $600.00 by November 14th. The balance is due by January 9th, 2012.
Team Managers must notify their team members of the per player cost for their team. Individuals can give cash or a check (payable to “NCWSA”) to the Team Manager OR submit on our website by clicking the green button (“2012 Player Fees”) on the right sidebar. Follow the link to use your credit card or bank account on the secure PayPal site. Note: The purchase shows as a “donation” but it is your required league fee payment. Please indicate which team you are on in the payment notes.
Registration: Download the forms off the league website in the right sidebar box labeled “NCWSA_Forms”. Deadline is January 9th,2012!
1. For returning players, complete and submit the 2012 Team Roster to your Team Manager.
2. For new players there are 5 items to turn into the Team Manager: 1. 2012 Team Roster, 2. Photo (color copy) of driver’s license, 3. Green Card (obtained from the Team Manager), 4. A 1″x1″ color photo in which your face is clearly visible, 5. Your player fee (to the Team Manager or online using PayPal).
Pre-Season Practice: “Kick the Ball Around “sessions to start November 5th at 7:30am at Hilleary Park if anyone needs info please call 858-922-8755. (These are not league-sponsored or team-based sessions but are a chance for players to get ready for the season and get to know one another before January.)

Big News: We have an 8th team joining for the 2012 season. (Thanks to everyone for making this league so fun to join!)
Let’s keep recruiting! There are usually spots to fill with changes in player availability before the season begins. If you know anyone who wants to play then please have them submit their information through the website. Our timeline to add players to teams is October-December. Interest submitted at other times will require registration in the following season.
We especially need Goalies for the league and a Team Manager for this newly-formed team. Thank you!
2012 Season Begins Jan. 21st
Mark your calendars for the kickoff games of the 2012 season on Saturday, January 21st. The full game schedule will be available in early January.
Returning players: Please communicate with your Team Manager about your commitment to play next season.

Women’s Soccer:TV Worth Watching!
Click here for info about the Women’s World Cup Viewing Party on July 2nd at O’Brien’s American Pub begining at 8:30am. Then plan to cheer on the San Diego Sea Lions at 7:30pm the same day at Cathedral Catholic High School!

Appreciation and Reminders
THANK YOU! We really appreciate our league Referees, Team Managers, Board Members, Players and their families for a fantastic season of women’s recreational soccer in North County San Diego! We hope you enjoyed safe, fun and well-managed soccer competition.
A few reminders…
1. Talk about the league! We take inquiries year-round and are already forming a list of interested players for the January-June 2012 season.2. Remind your teammates to sign up for email updates. We will be adding content and function to the website and we would like all players to stay connected!
3. Promote women’s soccer in San Diego by attending games and events held by our local organizations.
Stay healthy and start counting down the days to registration in November!
