NCWSA is Proud to Promote the San Diego WFC Sea Lions!

The San Diego WFC Sea Lions’ mission is to develop, and maintain a full-service soccer program, providing playing, training, coaching, instruction, administration and learning opportunities for females of all ages. The North County Women’s Soccer Association applauds these efforts and encourages all NCWSA families to attend games, participate in public programs and contribute to their charitable giving events.

Our local WFC Sea Lions team is rooted in the San Diego Women’s Football Club, which was formed in 1988 and remains one of the oldest female soccer clubs in the United States. The Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) was formed as an independent national league whose main focus is on the development of highly competitive amateur women’s soccer teams. The WPSL has ten divisions with over fifty teams across the United States. It has featured more than eighty former WUSA players, and many former and current national team members. Notables include Julie Foudy, Brandi Chastain, Kristine Lilly, Joy Fawcett, Ronnie Fair, LaKeysia Beene, Kylie Bivens, and Tisha Venturini.

Please keep an eye out for messages from the NCWSA women’s recreational soccer league in Poway about San Diego WFC Sea Lions’ events!
